it's been so long
I don't think any one in my circle of friends checks xanga anymore. I think it's pretty obsolete and facebook has taken over the world, but somehow I feel more comfortable blogging and posting on this site than on facebook.
Tabitha is now a little over 5 months old and I can't believe how quickly she is growing up! Week to week she changes and her personality is becoming more evident as I spend countless hours with my bundle of joy.
Tabitha can now touch her toes, roll over, and babbles more than ever. She is sucha smiling beauty and loves spending time with here mama. She is in the 50th percentile and steadily growing day by day. We just started her on rice cereal and she loves it. She had been staring at the food Justin and I have been eating, so I thought it was about time that I attempt to feed her rice cereal. Thank goodness she enjoys it and it's so cute to see her eat with all the food covering her little mouth and cheeks. I love her to death!!
Staying at home with her 24-7 hasn't help me lose any of the pregnancy weight though. No siree... my appetite is still as voracious as it was when I was pregnant and I have 20 more pounds STILL to lose. Not sure if it will happen, but slowly I'm trying to lose it. It's depressing not being able to fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes. My wardrobe is so limited. *sigh...
Anyway ..that's it for now. Oh yes, one more thing.
We're in Seattle...can't believe we moved cross country and are now here. God...what do you have in store for us?!

Cankles

I noticed on Sunday that my ankles just weren't looking the way they've been this whole pregnancy. Then I realized that I have CANKLES!!!! There was no differentiation between my calves and my ankles... just a stump. Thank Goodness after getting some rest and raising my feet my ankles look normal now. :)
38 weeks and 13 more days to go..
Hope she comes sooner than later -- *crossing fingers.

37 weeks and 2 days preggo- only 19 more days to go!!
I've heard and read that first babies usually come late, so I'm not going to bank on the baby making her exit in 19 days, but boy would it be nice!! 9 months of pregnancy really passes by so quickly. From a little lima bean to a baby plumping in my belly is such a miracle and gift from God!
Justin and I finally decided to suck up the extra cost for more channels, so BRAVO and TLC have been my companions as I've been furiously cleaning the floors, wiping the ceiling fans, scrubbing the oven, washing bedsheets in our one bedroom apartment. Not sure if this is the nesting instinct, but if it is then this apartment is going to be spotless before the baby comes. Having hardwood floors is a blessing and a curse! It's so easy to spot dust bunnies in the corner, a little crumb on the floor, a piece of hair here and there... or maybe I'm extremely bored and need to relax.
I usually do not have a sweet tooth, but yesterday I was craving something sweet. After cleaning out the cabinets, I noticed a box of yellow cake which triggered me to go grocery shopping for frosting and some other things. I had to eat a cupcake yesterday with gooey chocolate frosting. If you know me, I am no baker. Baking from a box is a feat for me. I don't have the patience for cakes to cool and to nicely decorate with frosting. So needless the say many of the cupcakes were eaten hot out of the oven with a spoonful of frosting to go along with it. The other cupcakes are now cooled, but the frosting job is quite ugly (hehe). Oh well.. if it's tasty I guess that's all that matters!
I'll find out tomorrow if this sweet tooth craving put some pounds on my overly stretched body. *sigh...
I've gotten depressed here and there when I notice the massive stretch marks tattooed on my body, but it is a small price to pay for a gift of life.
Not sure the next time I'll post, but hopefully the baby will be out soon!
Listening to: Matt Redman, "knocking on the door of heaven"

Leg Cramps...
28 weeks and 3 days. Met with the doctor yesterday for my glucose screening test and for a regular check up. We got the okay that I can travel one more time, so in two weeks -- Seattle here we come~!
We just got back from Orlando and had a blast! Though walking around Magic Kingdom and Epcot was a bit tiring in the heat, getting away for a couple of days to relax without responsibilities was glorious. My thighs and shoulders were burnt from the harsh rays, but the tan is well worth it now. It was also nice to meet some of Justin's old pals from Harvest, spend time with his sister and DL, and also reconnect with others I've met from the wedding. I'll post photos soon of my swollen face. The heat and my face do not like each other. Some photos I look like a different person from the heat... plus my face is also VERY red. *sigh
I've had leg cramps for a while, but these days I've been getting them regularly.
I'm scared to extend my feet in fear that my calves will cramp up. I should buy a "cuddle pillow" to ensure that I don't sleep on my back because each time I do, my legs lose circulation and the cramp returns. These days I've been asking Justin to sleep super super close to me so that if I roll over I'd roll over on him -- haha. So much for intimacy :). He's such a good sport.
We ended our day yesterday by watching Broadway's The Lion King at the Kennedy Center. This was Justin and my first time at the KC and we wished we had visited earlier. The Rooftop Terrace gave a wonderful view of the city and the weather couldn't have been better. The show was VERY good. I was moved to tears from the very beginning of the show; what a beautiful production. I was definitely in awe of the actors and the overall artistic elements involved. This is a definite must see!

hungry
25 weeks and 3 days. Though I'm 6 mos pregnant, I think I look a lot bigger! :( I thought that I was getting bigger gradually and not showing THAT much, but my mom thinks that I'm pretty big. I can't imagine how big I'll be the remaining months of pregnancy. :oP
It doesn't help that I have such a voracious appetite these days. Last week someone asked if my appetite had increased since being pregnant and I thought I was eating about the same. But this week food doesn't quite satiate my grumbling stomach. *growl growl growl..
19 pounds heavier... I'm a porker.

Today I ventured to Babier R Us with my mom and I was VERY overwhelmed. Baby retail stores are jam packed with too many things! I chuckled with my mom asking how she managed without all the strollers, cribs, infant car seats to choose from?! Life was simpler then.
There were a number of items I registered for (i.e., stroller, crib..etc.), but after taking a look at the items in person, I was having serious doubts. I had to take a deep breath and convince myself that choosing the wrong items wouldn't mean the end of the world.

Heading for the fridge for some pizza.. yum.
